Natural Palo Santo Wood Sticks

Palo Santo is a sacred fragrance tree in South America that means "Holy Wood". It is similar to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal resin incense. Palo Santo is commonly used for energy cleansing and healing processes and meditation. It has many healing qualities and is said to help calm anxiety, increase creativity, and purify energy. Our Palo Santo wood is 100% natural. No trees or forests are harmed to gather the wood. The Palo Santo tree trunk and branches that have fallen down naturally are foraged and picked up from the forest floor by locals who live in the area. Use Palo Santo sticks to purify objects, homes, offices, & self. On burning, one can smell soft aromatic notes of pine, mint, and lemon.

Each stick is approx 4 inch length x 1/2 inch thick. The exact length, thickness, and weight of each piece may vary as it is cut by hand from a fallen tree branch.

What You'll Need:

• One or 2 pcs. of Palo Santo Stick
• A fireproof container (e.g. a Palo Santo Holder, a clay bowl, or ceramic dish).
• A lighter or match.
• Optional: Feather or hand to fan the smoke.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Set an Intention:

Before using Palo Santo, take a moment to set a positive intention. For example: "I cleanse this space of negativity and invite peace and positivity."

Lighting the Stick:

Hold one end of the Palo Santo stick at a slight angle. Use a match or lighter to ignite the other end. Allow it to burn for about 20-30 seconds before gently blowing out the flame. The stick should produce fragrant smoke.

Cleansing and Purification:

• For purifying a given space: Walk around the room in a clockwise direction, letting the smoke drift into corners, doorways, and windows.
• For personal cleansing: Waft the smoke around your body, starting from your head and moving downward, while focusing on releasing negativity.
• For purifying objects: Pass the object through the smoke to cleanse its energy (e.g., crystals, jewelry, or sacred tools).

Extinguish Safely:

Place the smoldering stick in a fireproof bowl, sand, or ashtray and let it self-extinguish. Alternatively, gently press the burning tip into a fireproof surface to snuff it out.

Storage:

Keep the sticks in a cool, dry place away from moisture to maintain their quality and fragrance. Store in an airtight container or pouch to preserve the wood’s natural oils and aroma.

Reuse:

Palo Santo sticks can be relit multiple times until they are fully burned. Use sparingly as the aromatic smoke lasts a long time.

Fire Safety:

Never leave a burning stick unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Ensure proper ventilation during use to avoid smoke buildup.
